Front Of Church

This month, we commemorate the Protection of the Theotokos on October 14.  On this holy day, we remember the appearance of the Mother of God in the mid-tenth century in a church in Constantinople. She was seen as she prayed for Christians and then spread her veil over those present to protect them from visible and invisible enemies. In the festal troparion, we sing: Cover us with your Protecting Veil and deliver us from all evil, entreating your Son, Christ our God, to save our souls.

Thank you to those who have financially supported our church over the past several months! The church council continues to monitor our parish finances.  Your ongoing donations are vital to the upkeep and maintenance of our church, enabling us to keep it open and active for our parish community. For example, for just the month of September, we paid over $2,000 for utilities (electricity, gas, and water), insurance, and maintenance. Funds for these expenses are provided by your donations. We encourage everyone to consider setting up recurring monthly donations through our website or by arranging for your bank to issue monthly checks directly to the church. Setting up a recurring donation is a quick, secure, and convenient way to help ensure our parish continues to serve you. Even a modest monthly gift helps us plan better, cover ongoing costs more reliably, and reduce the need for urgent appeals. Thank you!
