Recent storms have caused the worsening of a leak in the cupola tower of our church building. Old brick and mortar have deteriorated leaving holes that allow rain in. The result is a substantial leak in the choir loft that has damaged the ceiling drywall. Roofing and masonry work is expensive, and it is not a repair that we can delay. Damage grows every time there is rain. At this time our church does not have funds to pay for the repair, and so we come to our parishioners and friends to ask for your donations. Repairs will cost over $6000.
This new need for repair is in addition to our ongoing fundraising for a new boiler. Raising money for building repairs and maintenance is not the most pleasant activity. No one wants to have to worry about the maintenance of our church building. However, if we do not take an interest in the upkeep of our building, we won’t have our church to attend. With this in mind, the Church Council, with the blessing of Father Rostyslav, humbly asks you for your donations for the cupola tower and boiler. Donations may be made at church and online.
We thank you for your support.
